The mission of Youth Dance Ensemble is to enrich the residents of the south metro area by providing an environment of dance training & performance with emphasis on artistic, technical, & creative content. Programming for all learners will stimulate & nurture creative thinking & positive self-image. We will inspire to understand & appreciate dance in its many forms, to preserve & promote the art of ballet & related cultural traditions.

Who We Are
We are non-profit organization run by dedicated individuals who see dance as an art form and wish to carry on that artistic vision and tradition. Our nationally recognized instructors and guest choreographers work hard to create an environment of growth, hard work, and encouragement for your child. Dixie Rairamo has been teaching young dancers for 35 years and prides the school on it’s technical training as well as it’s supportive environment and incomparable studio family.
Here at YDE we offer competition quality dance in a non-competitive environment. It truly is magical to see the joy that our students display on stage. Memories created here last for a lifetime!

       We offer:

• Age appropriate costumes, music and choreography.
• A place where dancers meet new friends from different communities who nurture and support each other—we serve students from Burnsville, Eagan, Apple Valley, Savage, Eden Prairie, Prior Lake, Lakeville, and beyond.
• Performance opportunities throughout the Twin Cities and out state tours of our yearly production of the Nutcracker Ballet. Additional performances include Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Midtown Global Market, The Walker Art Center, Dances at the Lakes with Christopher Watson, and other community events.
• Senior recognition including Senior solos with guest choreographers, the Senior trip to New York, and special performances.
